City Election Information


April 2, 2019 Regular Municipal Election

 

The next regular City Council election is April 2, 2019.   There will be three seats up for election:  District B, District C, and one At-large seat.

Candidates for City Council must have resided in the City, or for a district seat in their district, for at least twelve months immediately preceding the election and be a registered voter of the City.  Starting on December 28, 2018, Nomination Petitions will be available online and at the City Clerk’s Office.

City elections and candidates are subject to the provisions of the Fair Campaign Practices Act.  A copy of the Act and forms for filing reports can be found on the Colorado Secretary of State website.

In an effort to assist citizens with the initiative process, the City Clerk's Office has developed Initiative Guidelines, which explain the process in a chronological manner.
