NOTICE OF VACANCY  -  CITY COUNCIL MEMBER DISTRICT E

The City Council is seeking letters of interest, resumes and/or statements of qualification from eligible candidates in District E to fill a vacancy on the Grand Junction City Council. The successful candidate will serve until the next regular Municipal Election in April 2021.

To be eligible for the seat, one must be a registered elector of the City of Grand Junction and have resided within the boundaries of District E for twelve months consecutively prior to appointment. District E is generally south of Orchard Avenue between 7th and 12th Streets and includes Orchard Mesa and several annexations in the area known as Pear Park. For specific boundaries of District E, please consult the City Council district map at www.gjcity.org, or the map is available in the City Clerk's Office, 250 North 5th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501.

The City Council will review the letters and determine the next steps for the selection. Candidate interviews will be noticed as Special City Council meetings in accordance with the Colorado Open Meetings law.

Letters of interest must include contact information (telephone number and email address) and be submitted by 5:00 P.M. June 21, 2019 via email to cityclerk@gjcity.org or dropped off/mailed to Grand Junction City Clerk, City of Grand Junction, 250 North 5th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
