City of Grand Junction Dos Rios General Improvement District

 

What is the City of Grand Junction Dos Rios General Improvement District (GID)?

The Dos Rios GID is a property tax district formed in 2019 for the purpose of funding improvements within the district, such as utilities, communications facilities, and roads.  

The City Council sits as the governing Board.

How was the GID formed?

The City received a petition signed by the one owner of 100% of the taxable real property in the district requesting organization of the City of Grand Junction Dos Rios GID.  By way of Ordinance 4861, the District was formed and additional detail, including a map of the district and legal description, is included in the ordinance.

UNOFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS

In accordance with an agreement between the City of Grand Junction and the City of Grand Junction Dos Rios GID, an election will be held on November 5, 2019. The City Clerk is coordinating the election on behalf of the GID, and only the one property owner holding taxable real property in the district will receive a ballot.
