The City of Grand Junction Recycling Division offers an in-person Recycling Drop-Off located at 333 West Avenue inside the Municipal Services Campus. The drop-off is a free service for all Mesa County residents and it is open Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

What Can I Take to the Recycling Drop-Off?
PAPER MATERIAL
- Magazines & catalogs
- Telephone Books
- Opened junk mail
- Paperback books
- Newspaper & newspaper inserts
- White & pastel colored paper
- Computer & fax paper
- Carbonless copy paper
- Envelopes
- Manila & bleached file folders
GLASS BOTTLES, JUGS, & JARS
- Clear glass should be kept separate from colored glass
- Drain and rinse all containers
- Discard plastic lids & corks
- Remove metal lids and recycle them with cans/plastics
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
- Corrugated cardboard only
- Remove all packing material
- Break down
CHIPBOARD/PAPERBOARD
- Single-layer paperboard/chipboard only
- Examples include paper towel & toilet tissue rolls, cereal boxes, tissue boxes
- Remove all plastic liners & packing materials, break down & flatten all containers
PLASTIC, ALUMINUM, AND STEEL CONTAINERS
- Plastics #1, #2, and #5 only: #1 and #2 should have threaded caps, #5 will be tubs with no threads
- Remove lids
- Discard plastic lids, metal lids are OK
- Drain and rinse ALL containers
FOOD WASTE
- ALL food scraps (includes meat, dairy, and bones)
- Spent brewery grains
- Paper towels/napkins (no harsh cleaning chemicals)
*Used cooking oil/cooking grease collection is also accepted at the drop off facility. This service is provided by Titan Grease Collection.
