The primary mission of a law enforcement Honor Guard is to honor those law enforcement officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities. The Honor Guard of the Grand Junction Police Department is no exception to that mission, representing our department at law enforcement memorials throughout the country.
There are eight officers who currently serve on the Grand Junction Police Department Honor Guard, and every one of these highly trained officers attends many events throughout the year, such as JUCO Championship games, Police Week events, 9/11 memorials, and promotional ceremonies. These officers dedicate numerous hours to practice in order to post our State and National colors in the most respectful and professional manner possible.
