| I began writing in the early 1980s when I lived in Los Angeles, and learned my craft from professionals-screenwriters and producers. Over the years, I have been a member of numerous writing/critique groups in different states, and attended a variety writing workshops. I also have served on the board of directors of the Grand Junction Writers’ Cooperative (2008 through 2011), was one of several judges of the Pike’s Peak Writing Contest (2010), edited a newsletter for an art gallery (2008 through 2009), and had a column in the Fruita Times (2001 through 2003). |

| I am a Hospice nurse, mother to 3 beautiful little girls, wife to an amazing man and artist. Life is crazy and busy but balance is the key to happiness. I have always enjoyed creating art my entire life. My favorite is to do pieces in black and white because of the emotion that the piece can convey. |

Link: Amy Gibbs Website | I grew up in a medium-sized town in Northern California, and landed in a medium-sized town in Western Colorado. I came to pastels by way of a teacher who knew there was a spontaneity inside me that I didn’t see myself. Of course, the teacher was right. I have more interest in finding my own way of seeing things than to reproduce with minute precision what is there. I still find new ways to see things, and new ways to express the light, shadow and color of the world. |
