City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Waterline Replacement Project- Asphalt Repaving

  • 17th Street between Elm Avenue and Hall Avenue
  • 18th Street between Glenwood Avenue Avenue and Elm Avenue
  • 19th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Elm Avenue
  • Kennedy Avenue between 19th Street and 22nd Street
  • 20th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Kennedy Avenue
  • 21st Street between North Avenue and Kennedy Avenue            

Expect temporary road closure with well-marked detour route in place
Access for residents will be maintained
Anticipated Completion – Late April 2023

24 Road and G road Traffic Roundabout Project

  • Between 4/17 & 5/5 - G Rd. will be closed from 24 Rd. to 24 1/2 Rd., reopening for the weekends.
  • Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around the 24 Rd. and G Rd. temporary roundabout.
  • Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Rd. from I-70 to Leland Ave.
  • Moderate traffic delays can be expected
  • Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will be maintained.

Sewer Replacement Project- Orchard Mesa

  1. Holly Lane south of Unaweep Avenue will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Resident access will be provided
  • Anticipated Completion – Early May

2022 Asphalt Overlay Project

  1. Redlands Pkwy. Between Hwy 340 Roundabout and the Colorado River Bridge
  • Asphalt overlay will start Wednesday night, April 26 between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.
  • Expect delays and possible road closures
  • Please use alternate route
  • Anticipated Completion - Tuesday, May 2

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Tree Trimming on 26 Road - Private Company

26 Road will be closed Friday, April 21, for tree trimming between F 1/2 Road heading east, and F 1/2 Road heading west.

  • Marked detours will be put in place.
  • 26 Road will be closed for most of the day.
  • Anticipated Completion - Friday, April 26 (same day)

Fiber Optic Construction– Highline Internet Service Provider

Expect lane shifts and possible delays this week at the following locations:

  1. West bound Patterson Road from 31 Road to Cottage Meadows
  2. West bound Orchard Avenue from 28 1/4 Road to 28 Road

16 Rd. from M Rd. to O Rd., Utility Construction – Ute Water

  • Starting Monday, April 24, 16 Road will be closed 
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Anticipated completion – Early May

30 Rd. and E Rd., Utility Construction – Clifton Water

  • Starting Tuesday, April 25, construction will begin in the intersection of 30 Road and E Road
  • Expect delays and possible detours
  • Alternate route advised
  • Anticipated Completion – Early May
