City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

24 Road and G Road – Traffic Roundabout Project

  • Eastbound lanes of G Rd. will be closed between 24 Rd. & 24 ½ Rd thru 7/14
  • Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around the 24 Rd. and G Rd. temporary roundabout 
  • Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Rd. from I-70 to Leland Ave.
  • Moderate traffic delays can be expected
  • Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will always be maintained

Sewer Replacement Project

  • Unaweep Ave. is closed at 27 3/8 Rd.
  • A well-marked detour route is in place 
  • Resident access will always be provided
  • Anticipated Completion – August

Waterline Replacement Project - Phase 2

  • 20th and 21st St. between Elm Ave. and Orchard Ave. is closed to thru traffic
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Anticipated completion – October 2023 

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Fiber Optic Construction– Highline Internet Service Provider

  • Eastbound F ½ Rd. from Allegheny to 31 Rd.
  • Westbound Patterson Rd. from 31 Rd. to Cottage Meadows
  • Eastbound Patterson Rd. from 29 ½ Rd. to 30 Rd.
  • Expect lane shifts and delays

 S. Broadway between 23 Rd. & Easter Hill Dr.– Private Development               

  • Utility work along with new curb, gutter & sidewalk construction will take place throughout the summer
  • Expect intermittent road closures with well-marked detours
  • Resident access will be provided        

City of Fruita Chip Seal Program

The Following streets are scheduled to be chip sealed this week (weather dependent)

Mon. 7/24:

  • Plum St.
  • Mesa St.
  • Ottley Ave. from Mesa to Maple St.

Tue. 7/25:

  • N. Mulberry St. from Pabor north to Ottley

Wed. 7/26 & Thur. 7/27:

  • Ottley Ave. from Maple to Arches

Delays can be expected and please no on street parking       

W. Scenic Dr. Drainage Improvement Project (on the Redlands north of Hwy 340)– Mesa County    

  • Work hours will be Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Expect alternating single lane traffic throughout the duration of project, with up to 10 min. delays 
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Anticipated completion – Sept.

I-70B and CO 141B Resurfacing Project – CDOT

  • Work hours: Sun. nights through Friday mornings between 6:30 pm and 6:30 am
  • Expect single lane closures and traffic delays
  • I-70B from 24 Rd. west to the I-70 Interchange
  • I-70B from Main St. to 29 Rd.
  • CO 141 (32 Rd.) from I-70B south to the Colorado River bridge
