The City of Grand Junction will host the “Get the Scoop on Your City” event on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Grand Junction Fire Station #3 located at 582 25 ½ Road in Grand Junction.
Get to Know Your City events are planned throughout the year to provide community members with an opportunity to learn more about current and upcoming city projects and initiatives. City staff are on hand at these events to answer questions and displays provide detail regarding projects and plans currently underway or in the planning stages. Staff also offer ways for the public to provide input and learn more about current projects. In addition to information about plans involving public safety, transportation, utilities, and development, the event in August will offer residents in Phase 2 of the Dual Stream Recycling program a chance to learn more and see the new recycling collection bins. Refreshments will be served.
The city hosts three Get to Know Your City events throughout the year focused on presenting information from each city department and division. These events are free and open to all community members. For information or questions about the event email communications@gjcity.org.
