[ARCHIVED] City of Grand Junction Announces Tomaszewski Director of Finance

The City of Grand Junction announced Jennifer Tomaszewski, CPA as its new Finance Director, a position that became open with the retirement of Jodi Welch from this role. City Manager Greg Caton selected Tomaszewski after conducting a national search earlier this year that resulted in 64 applicants.

As Finance Director for the City of Grand Junction, Tomaszewski’s responsibilities will include oversight of the annual budget, accounting, financial reporting, grant administration, sales tax, payroll, and Municipal Court.    

Tomaszewski recently served as Assistant Finance Director for the City of Santa Maria, California a full-service city with a population of 110,000 and an annual budget of $350 million. In her role as Assistant Finance Director, she oversaw the budget, accounting/accounts payable and reporting, treasury, purchasing, payroll, and utility billing, and cashiering services.
