City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions 

Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project (8/17/20 to 6/17/21) 

  • Be aware of construction activities around the bicycle playground, access to the bike park from Riverside Parkway will remain open during construction 
  • The existing asphalt surface of Riverside Drive, south of Hale Avenue, has been permanently removed. No vehicle access shall be allowed south of Hale
  • Riverfront Trail will be closed. Follow well-marked detour around construction activities

Ridges Irrigation Replacement Project 

  • City crews are replacing the irrigation line along Valley View Way & West Valley Circle
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Anticipated Completion – Early April 

Palisade Street Culvert Replacement Project

  • Monday, Feb. 22, Palisade Street will be closed to thru traffic between Unaweep Ave. and Hwy 50
  • Access to Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital from Hwy 50
  • All other access must be from Unaweep Ave.
  • Anticipated Completion - Friday, February 26

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

 E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road - Mesa County

  • Expect full road closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations 
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Alternate route advised 
  • Work hours: Monday thru Saturday, 7am to 7pm 
  • Anticipated Completion: September 2021 

33 ½ Road Irrigation Project, between D ½ Road and E ¼ Road – Mesa County 

  • Expect full road closures with well-marked detour route in place 
  • Resident access will be maintained 
  • Alternate route advised 
  • Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7am to 5pm 
  • Anticipated Completion: Late February

Hwy 340 (Broadway) Culvert Improvements - CDOT 

  • Construction will take place between Canary Ln. and Dressell Dr. 
  • Expect minimal traffic impacts with occasional single lane closures 
  • Working hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm 

G Road Power Pole Renovation Project Between 26 ½ Road and 27 Road – Grand Valley Power

  • Possible alternating one lane traffic through the work zone 
  • Expect delays 
  • Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm 
  • Anticipated Completion Date – Late April
