[ARCHIVED] Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture Grants Awarded

Thanks to a $34,000 grant provided by The Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture and the City of Grand Junction, cultural events will be available to the community again in 2021. Twelve local non-profit organizations received an art grant for cultural projects ranging from $1,200 - $3,800 for theatrical performances, art and music camps, art exhibits, an arts festival, film and media projects, and a community art project. These diverse projects will provide opportunities for our community to come together.

The Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture manages the art grant program. Commissioners are responsible for promoting, attending, and evaluating each event. The goal is to help organizations put-on high-quality events for our community. Many of these events are free or at a minimal cost to the public thanks to this art grant. A new requirement for organizations this year was a contingency plan of online conversion, if necessary, to hold their events.  Congratulations to the following organizations:
