The Grand Junction Parks & Recreation 2021 Summer Activity Guide is now available and registration for summer programming is open. The guide includes the most up-to-date information on parks and recreation services and programs including summer camps, swim lessons, adult programs, and special events. The community can also learn about city parks, new amenities, and summer activities. Guides were mailed to Grand Junction residents, but can also be viewed online at gjparksandrec.org. Additional guides can be picked up from the Parks & Recreation office, located at 1340 Gunnison Avenue.
Parks & Recreation is excited to return to a summer full of programming and events. Most programs and facilities are available and open with a few exceptions. Parks & Recreation continues to work closely with Mesa County Public Health to monitor COVID-19 in the community. Parks & Recreation staff also follow the Governor’s Public Health Orders.
Highlighted dates from the Summer Activity Guide include:
- Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool opens on May 22nd
- Summer Camps start May 24th
- Food Truck Fridays at Lincoln Park: 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on May 28, July 2 and 30, August 27, September 10
- Western Colorado Senior Games: August 23 – August 29
