During the regular City Council meeting on the evening of May 5, 2021, a new President of the Council and President Pro Tem of the Council were selected by the members of City Council. These positions are commonly referred to as Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem.
For the coming year, Councilmember Chuck McDaniel (District At-Large) will serve in the capacity of Council President, or Mayor, and Councilmember Anna Stout (District C) will serve as Council President Pro Tem, or Mayor Pro Tem.
Both were administered the oath of office by City Clerk Wanda Winkelmann and chairing of the meeting was resumed by President McDaniel.
The President and President Pro Tem each serve a one-year term.
