[ARCHIVED] Grand Junction Fall Aquatics

Indoor Swimming Pool

The Parks & Recreation Department is transitioning from the summer outdoor aquatics season at the Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool to the fall indoor aquatics season at the Orchard Mesa Pool.

The Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool will close for the season after Labor Day, September 6th. The pool will be open on Labor Day from 1:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. To celebrate the end of summer, dog owners can bring their dogs to the Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool on Sunday, September 12th for the 17th Annual Dog Days. The entry fee for dogs is $5 and human spectators are free. Event proceeds go towards the Roice-Hurst Humane Society and the Billy Crawford Memorial Scholarship Fund. The pool will be open for small dogs from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and will be open for all other dogs from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Orchard Mesa Pool is open every day of the week offering public swim, lap swim, aqua-aerobics, the hot tub and water slide. Swim lessons at the Orchard Mesa Pool start September 14th and sessions are offered until November. Drowning is a leading cause of death for young children and swim instructors focus on teaching lifesaving skills over stroke development until students are proficient at self-rescue techniques.
