**As of Friday, October 8, a section of the River Front Trail System is flooded from Riverside Parkway/Blue Heron Boat Ramp until just east of the Walter Walker State Wildlife Area. This flooding is expected to last through the weekend. Flooding is due to overflow from the Bradley Pond just north of the trail system. The City of Grand Junction is working with Elam Construction, which has been managing Bradley Pond, to help mitigate flooding problems. **
Crews will begin trail repairs to the River Front Trail system starting Monday, October 11. Users can expect part of the trail system to be closed near Grand Junction City Shops off High-Country Court and ending near the Junior Service League Park off Riverside Parkway. Trail users will see signs for an alternate route along Riverside Parkway. The trail closure is expected to last through the end of October.
