The Grand Junction Police Department is continuing their investigation into the cause and manner of a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on October 29, multiple calls came into the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center stating a motorcycle versus vehicle accident had occurred at 27 Road and Highway 50. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male motorcyclist who was badly injured, lying in the road. The male was transported to the hospital by Grand Junction Fire Department personnel, but ultimately succumbed to the injuries sustained during the incident.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased after proper notifications have been made.
Officers continue to interview witnesses and speak to those involved. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
