[ARCHIVED] Reminder: Community Recreation Center Survey Closes February 21, 2022

Survey

A letter regarding a statistically valid survey for a potential Community Recreation Center in Grand Junction was mailed to a random selection of Grand Junction registered voters at the beginning of February. Since then, all selected residents with a valid phone number have also been contacted by phone to complete the survey from a (717) area code. This survey closes on Monday, February 21. The City of Grand Junction would like to remind selected residents to please complete the survey before the deadline. The mailed letter provides background on the process and instructions on completing the survey. Selected residents can complete the survey online (https://www.fandm.edu/gjcrc) or call (866) 366-7655 toll-free anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. MST, Monday through Friday.

The purpose of the survey is to better understand residents’ opinions and needs related to a potential Community Recreation Center in Grand Junction. The data from the survey will be critical to informing the City’s path forward regarding a Community Recreation Center. An indoor Community Recreation Center could include such elements as indoor and outdoor pools, a gymnasium, a walk/jog track, and other community spaces. The City of Grand Junction partnered with Colorado Mesa University and their research partner, The Center for Opinion Research at Franklin & Marshall College, to create and execute the survey. The survey results will be presented to City Council this spring.
