The Grand Junction Police Department is gearing up for our Annual National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 2.
Citizens, law enforcement agencies, and communities will join forces next Tuesday, to mark another annual National Night Out (NNO). And while Covid threw a wrench into the past few years of NNO events, the Grand Junction Police Department is excited to continue building strong relationships with neighbors and other local first responders. The night is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community, heighten crime prevention awareness, and send a message to criminals by letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime.
National Night Out is a reflection of how hard communities are working to build those strong police-community partnerships. So, whether your neighborhood plans include a block party, cookout, potluck, ice cream social, or just a few activities together at the park, our first responders are looking forward to visiting your neighborhood, connecting with old faces, and making new friends.
Nosey neighbors, make safer neighborhoods! Join us in our mission of building a strong and safe community for everyone!
If your neighborhood is interested in participating in an event this year, there is still time to sign up. Visit our website for more information or to get your neighborhood registered today. Registration closes Friday, July 29th.
