The Western Colorado Senior Games is a week-long athletic competition from Monday, August 22- Sunday, August 28, 2022, for seniors aged 50+. This marks the 21st year of the Western Colorado Senior Games in Grand Junction and participants can register by visiting the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Office at 1340 Gunnison Avenue in Lincoln Park south of the pool.

Registration is also available over the phone by calling 970.254.3866. Participants will need to communicate over the phone the events in which they will be competing. The registration and health fair vendor deadline has been extended until Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 5 p.m. Participants are asked to register and vendors should sign up for the health fair. In addition to games, the week’s events include a free health fair and free ice cream for all participants.

“While outdoor recreation is abundant within the valley, this is a unique opportunity for seniors to spend time outdoors among friends and fellow competitors,” stated Ken Sherbenou, Parks and Recreation Director. Senior Games events include bocce ball, cribbage, swimming, pickleball, bowling, disc golf, and horseshoes, among many other activities.
