The Grand Junction Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing fun and safe activities for the community throughout the year. The Parks & Recreation Department now issues seasonal variations of the Activity Guide throughout the year to provide residents with the most accurate information on activities offered by the Department. The Late Fall Activity Guide was released today and covers from October 5 through January 2. The guide is available online at gjparksandrec.org.
The Late Fall Guide shares the latest information on services currently being offered. With the holiday season approaching, Grand Junction Parks & Recreation is excited to offer some of the more traditional parks and recreation holiday events. During October, residents can get in the Halloween spirit by participating in the Boston’s Halloween Softball Tournament or the 4th Annual Trick, Track, and Treat event. For the colder months of November and December, residents can enjoy the Santa Cause Run, Candy Cane Hunt, Chocolate Walk, and a Virtual Holiday Light Tour. Other programs are being offered such as Indoor Pickleball, Drop-in Sports, and Swim Lessons.
To register for programs, please go to the gjparksandrec.org or call 970-254-3866. Residents may also visit the Parks and Recreation office located at 1340 Gunnison Avenue. Parks & Recreation offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (closed noon-1:00 P.M.).
