City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
2022 Asphalt Overlay Project
- Redlands Parkway between Hwy 340 Roundabout and the Colorado River Bridge
- Crews will be removing and replacing concrete at the following locations along the Parkway:
- Greenbelt Drive
- South Rim Drive
- Rio Linda Lane
- Motorists using the above-mentioned side streets can expect intermittent alternating one-lane traffic between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Riverfront Trail Improvement Project
- Phase 1 begins Monday, October 3
- The Riverfront Trail will be closed between Bananas Fun Park and the Junior Service League parking lot (Redlands Pkwy.)
- A well-marked detour route will be in place utilizing the bike path alongside Riverside Pkwy.
- City crews will be removing the existing asphalt trail and replacing it with concrete.
Riverside Parkway Tree Planting
- Wednesday October 12 and Friday October 14
- Crews will be working in the median between West Avenue and High Country Court
- Riverside Parkway will be restricted to one lane in each direction
- Expect delays
No Thoroughfare Fire Mitigation Project
- Starting Monday, October 10
- Crews will be removing brush along the No Thoroughfare Trail
- The trail will be closed between Rosevale Road and D Road
- The detour route will be well marked
- Anticipated completion: Tuesday, October 18
- Motorists: please slow down and watch for increased bicycle traffic along Rosevale Road and D Road
City of Grand Junction Leaf Removal Program
- City wide leaf pick up starts Monday, October 9
- Please slow down in areas where crews are working
- Anticipated completion: early December (weather permitting)

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
U.S. 6 & North Avenue Median & Resurfacing Project – CDOT
- Sundays through Fridays, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. (night work)
- The night work zone will intermittently stretch along the entire length of project
- One lane of travel in each direction will always be maintained during the night work activities
- Limited daytime work is possible, with intermittent lane closures.
- Be aware of the 20-mph reduced speed limit and 10’ width restriction throughout the work zone
- Please be aware of workers in the “cone zone” and be respectful of their safety
- Anticipated Completion – Mid November (weather dependent)
