City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
2022 Asphalt Overlay Project
- Redlands Parkway between Hwy 340 Roundabout and the Colorado River Bridge
- Crews will be removing and replacing concrete at the following locations along the Parkway:
- Greenbelt Drive
- South Rim Drive
- Rio Linda Lane
- Motorists using the above-mentioned side streets along with the Redlands Pkwy, can expect intermittent alternating one lane traffic and possible detours between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Expect Delays
Riverfront Trail Improvement Project
- The River Front Trail will be closed between Bananas Fun Park and the Junior Service League Park/ Redlands Pkwy.
- City crews are replacing the asphalt trail with concrete
- A well-marked detour route will be in place utilizing the bike path alongside the Riverside Pkwy.
City of Grand Junction Leaf Removal Program
- Check city map on the website for locations dates.
- Please slow down in areas where crews are working
- Anticipated completion: early December (weather permitting)

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
North Avenue between 1st Street and I-70B, Resurfacing Project– CDOT
- Sundays through Fridays, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. (night work)
- This week 29 ¼ Road will be closed at North Avenue for utility work.
- The Collision Center & Satellite store will need to be accessed from Orchard Avenue
- Be aware of the 20-mph reduced speed limit and 10’ width restriction throughout the work zone
- Please be aware of workers in the “cone zone” and be respectful of their safety
- Anticipated Completion – Mid November (weather dependent)

23 Road Between H Road and I Road, Utility Construction – Ute Water
- 23 Road is closed to through traffic between H Road and I Road
- Access for residents will be maintained
- A detour route will be in place
- Anticipated completion: Late October
South Camp Road Shoulder Improvement Project
- Shoulder work along South Camp Road starts Monday October 17, between Monument Road and Rimrock Road
- South Camp Road may have Intermittent alternating one lane traffic, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Expect delays
- Anticipated Completion – Mid December
