[ARCHIVED] Eagle Rim Skate Park Closes for Mural Preparations November 1-4, 2022

aRT Release on a blue filed with a photo of City Hall

This project will cover the existing unsolicited graffiti. On November 6, 2022, following the application of the base coat of paint, artists will install new murals as part of the Skate Park Mural Program. The park will remain open during mural painting. Parks and Recreation completed a similar project at West Lake Skate Park in late April of 2022, which has been successful in limiting graffiti and engaging the users of the park.

In addition to the new murals, three “billboards” will be installed inside the skate park to allow the free expression of art. The annual Skate Park Mural Program is designed to help improve the skate parks and make them a welcoming place for all users, while also offering local artists opportunities to express themselves.  More information about the mural programs.
