2022 Waterline Replacement – Phase 1 Project
Waterline construction is ongoing or will be starting at the following locations:
- 19th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Elm Avenue
- Kennedy Avenue between 19th Street and 22nd Street
- 20th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Kennedy Avenue
- 21st Street between North Avenue and Kennedy Avenue
- Expect temporary road closures with well-marked detour routes in place
- Access for residents and businesses will be maintained
- Anticipated Completion – April 2023
24 Road and G Road – Traffic Roundabout Project
- Be aware of the traffic pattern change at 24 Road and G Road. (Temporary Roundabout)
- Posted speed limit is 15 mph
- Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Road from I-70 to Leland Avenue.
- Moderate traffic delays can be expected.
- Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will be maintained.
2023 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project- (Orchard Mesa)
- 27 3/8 Road south of Unaweep Avenue
- Holly Lane south of Unaweep Avenue
- These two roads will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Resident access will be provided.
- Anticipated Completion - Early April
Mesa Avenue Waterline Upgrade Project- City Forces
- Mesa Avenue east of 28 Road is closed to thru traffic
- Resident access will be provided
- Anticipated completion- Early April
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
Fiber Optic Construction– Highline Internet Service Provider
- Expect lane shifts and possible delays this week at the following locations:
- Westbound Orchard Avenue between 28 1/4 Road and 28 Road.
- Northbound 28 1/4 Road between Orchard Avenue and Brittany Lane.
- Westbound Patterson Road between Grand Valley Drive and Cottage Meadows Lane.
12 Road (Loma) from M Road to M ½ Road, Utility Construction – Ute Water
- 12 Road is closed south of Hwy 6 & 50 between M Road and M ½ Road.
- A detour route will be in place.
- Anticipated Completion – Early April
Railroad Crossing Replacement on 9th Street – Union Pacific Railroad
- 9th Street Crossing (North of State Highway Dept.):
- This crossing is currently closed and scheduled to reopen Tuesday, March 28.
- Detour will be in place.
