The City Council has been considering aspects of marijuana business regulations since July of 2020, including the decision to refer measures 2A and 2B to the April 2021 ballot. Once the election results certify and approval of both measures 2A and 2B, the City Council is anticipated to consider adopting detailed regulations for marijuana stores in Summer/Fall 2021. Regulations may be adopted over the course of 2021, 2022, and beyond to address various types of marijuana businesses.
